Your OMPF, MCTFS record, and Marine Online review responsibilities. Catching record errors before they cost you at a promotion or selection board.
Your Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) is maintained by the Marine Corps and contains all official documents, evaluations, promotions, and awards. Your Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS) record tracks assignments, training, security clearances, and career data. Marine Online (MOL) is your portal to review both records. Errors in your OMPF or MCTFS can cost you promotion opportunities, security clearances, and special assignments. Review your records regularly—at least before promotion boards, before PCS, and after significant career events. Report discrepancies to your S-1 or Career Counselor immediately.
Log into Marine Online (MOL) at mol.usmc-mccs.org to access your OMPF summary and MCTFS career profile. Your S-1 or admin specialist can print your complete OMPF if you need official copies for personal records or claims. Pay attention to your reenlistment code, RE code, time-on-station date, SRB eligibility, and promotion profile. If you spot an error, submit a Record Correction Request through your chain of command to your S-1.
