AI and Data Management Training
Where to train in AI and data after the Basic AI Course. Per MARADMIN 467/26, TECOM's quarterly training catalog, as amended by MARADMIN 472/26.
Start Here If You Are New to AI Training Beyond the Basic Course
The MANDATORY Basic AI Course (per MARADMIN 214/26) is the foundation. Finish it first, NLT 31 December 2026. Next, MARADMIN 467/26 (29 September 2026, CG TECOM) lists the AI and data training open to Marines and government civilians. TECOM's Command Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) publishes this catalog every quarter, so check for a newer message before you plan a long course. MARADMIN 472/26 (1 October 2026) corrected one address in it, Warfighting Acquisition University (WarU). The goal is basic AI awareness for every Marine, with deeper training open to those who want it. MARADMIN 270/25, the earlier catalog, still lists MARINENET Skillsoft and Percipio and the CDAO Digital Commons.
This page walks you through available training from your seat as a Marine. By the end you will know.
- The training ecosystem
- MARINENET / MCELE options (Skillsoft, Percipio)
- Joint and DoW-wide options (JKO, Digital University, WarU, GenAI.mil, Google Skills, War Data Platform, Microsoft)
- Marine Corps internal options (II MEF Basic Data Literacy, EIS training, Maven Smart System)
- Advanced training (USNCC, NPS)
- How to access each platform
- DA&AI Workforce alignment
- CDAO Digital Commons
Every fact on this page comes from MARADMIN 467/26, MARADMIN 472/26, MARADMIN 270/25, MARADMIN 007/25, OSD CDAO/OUSD(R&E) Memorandum (5 January 2024), and the USMC AI Implementation Plan.

Pursuing Advanced Training Without Foundation
Marines jump to advanced courses without foundational understanding.
Mitigation. Build up from foundational to advanced.
Not Tracking External Completions
Marines complete external training but it does not appear in their record.
Mitigation. Save certificates. Upload to MCTFS if process supports it. Document for performance evaluations.
Missing TA Funding
Marines pay for civilian courses out of pocket when TA could fund.
Mitigation. Engage Education Center before paying. See Tuition Assistance (TA).
