Source documents flow from EAS and retirement dates in MCTFS, voluntary separation requests, MMSR-1 retirement orders, MMSR-2 officer retirement and resignation actions, MMSR-4 physical disability determinations, judicial proceedings affecting characterization, and chain-of-command involuntary separation notifications. Transactions land in MCTFS through UD-MIPS per MCO 1900.16 Appendix E (Automated Processing under MCTFS). Outputs include the certified DD Form 214 per Appendix B, the retirement order package per Chapters 2 or 7, the closed OMPF per MCO P1070.12KMCO P1070.12K Chapter 3, and the separation pay computation per Chapter 1 Section 3.

- Involuntary separation without legal review. Per JAGINST 5800.7GJAGINST 5800.7G and Chapter 6 paragraph 6303, route every involuntary separation through legal.
- Page 11 omitted on separation action. The OMPF lands incomplete. Cut the Page 11 per MCO P1070.12KMCO P1070.12K Chapter 6.
- Final pay closeout not coordinated with disbursing. The Marine separates with unresolved pay. Coordinate with IPAC and disbursing before DD Form 214 signature.
