Section 1

This paragraph applies to Active-Duty Marines beyond their Expiration of Obligated Service (EOS), as well as all reserve Marines with approved reenlistment into the Selected Marines Corps Reserve (SMCR).

Section 2

Report the following statement for reenlistment of an AD (Comp Code 11), non-career designated Active Reserve (AR) Marines and all other reserve Marines. See Figure 3-2 (par. 30301) for the Number of Enlistments. Report the SPD Code as KBK2 for Comp CD 11 and KHC1 or KHC2 in all other cases. Report the Effective Date as the Date of Reenlistment as from the DD form 4/1, Block 5.

Reporting units must utilize SPD KBK2.

b.  The drop (TTC 378) will normally be reported utilizing SPD Code KBK2, unless the member is being separated due to denial of further AD service and elects separations pay (which incurs a Reserve obligation).  In those cases, the drop (TTC 378) will be reported using SPD Code LGH2 which will generate an automatic join to the IRR.

c.  However, when an AD Member is separated due to denial of further service and does not elect separations pay (and the Reserve obligation) and therefore is not required to reenlist into the IRR, the drop (TTC 378) will be reported utilizing the correct SPD Code JGH_, which in turn does not generate an automatic join to the IRR.

d.  For Active Duty reporting, this entry can be reported up to 90 days in advance of the Active Duty Marine's Expiration of Current Contract (ECC), and will update the reserve ECC and reenlistment length to reflect the new reserve commitment.

e.  For Reserve reporting, this entry will update the current source of entry, reserve ECC, current enlistment length, active service length and date enlistment or acceptance and current enlistment length quantity.

### Section 3

To report the reenlistment for an Extended Active Duty (EAD) Recruiter, and Career Designated AR Marine (component code must equal B1-B4 or CD) for continued service in that respective program, report TTC 004 002 as shown below.
