MCO 7220.52G - Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus (FLPB) Program

Scope

MCO 7220.52G, dated 10 January 2025, is the Marine Corps order for the Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus program. It sets policy and criteria for FLPB eligibility and administration under 37 U.S.C. 353 and DoDI 1340.27, and it supersedes MCO 7220.52F.

The order holds the FLPB Payment Table and the minimum ILR levels referenced by each annual FLPB MARADMIN. Its enclosures include the in-service DLPT retest waiver, the DLPT and OPI score extension waiver request, and the written FLPB agreement.

Annual implementation

Each fiscal year a DC I MARADMIN applies the order. MARADMIN 480/26 covers FY27. MARADMIN 574/25 covered FY26.
