Scope

MCO 3574.2M, Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Programs, signed 2022-04-06, governs rifle and pistol qualification for the Marine Corps. The order cancelled MCO 3574.2L, established the Annual Rifle Qualification (ARQ) as the controlling rifle course of fire, and set the Combat Pistol Program (CPP) for pistol qualification. • ARQ is a three-day event from the 500-yard line to the 15-yard line, per Enclosure (1) Chapter 3 paragraph 2.b.
• ARQ classification requires a minimum of 15 Destroys out of 50 plus at least one passing drill iteration. Expert is 43-50 destroys with one iteration in each drill type, Sharpshooter 31-42 with two, Marksman 15-30 with any, per Enclosure (1) Chapter 3 paragraph 6.d.
• Marines qualifying Expert receive a fiscal year exemption, per Enclosure (1) Chapter 1 paragraph 5.f.
• All scores enter MCTIMS regardless of pass or fail, per Enclosure (1) Chapter 1 paragraph 7. Classification flows to MCTFS through the Unit Diary.
• Units report rifle qualification data in MCTFS within 5 days of the effective date, per MCAAT Training checks and MCTFSPRIUM 5-51301.
