Scope
MARADMIN 076/22 publishes updated requirements for implementation of the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) Online Enrollment System (SOES). The message directs commanders to confirm every Marine completes an SGLI election in SOES and defines the occasions requiring a new election. Audience
- Marines on Active Duty and in the Reserve Component. Complete the SOES election and select Confirm and Certify before exiting.
- Commanders. Verify elections at each triggering occasion and maintain compliance procedures.

- Casualty Assistance Calls Officers (CACOs) and inspectors. Reference SGLI status during casualty support and Functional Area 3040 inspections.
Election requirements
- Paragraph 2. Commanders shall ensure all Marines without a SOES election make one and select Confirm and Certify before exiting SOES, so the system stores the beneficiary designation.
